This morning I went to Golds to workout, saw two different women there that are also going to be in the show. They looked so lean and good, I couldn't help compare my body to theirs! It made me a bit disguraged, but I have to tell my self that everyone is different so I need to look at how I can look the best, now them. That's always the battle in life, comparing ourselves to others. It's stupid, but it happens.

My upper body is so much stronger than my lower body but you can't tell unless I flex. Obviously we won't be flexing in the competition as it's bikini...so I worked arms today and did some shoulders as well. Then 30 minutes on the stairmaster...I will force myself to do another 30 tonight on my bike in my room.

Went to lunch today with my boyfriend at a new "health food" place in Henderson. Basically, it was choose your meat, rice, and it came with a house salad and a drink. No tofu or beans or other non animal protein on the menu. I ordered egg whites, brown rice, and asparagus. (and drank diet Pepsi, umm...thinking they should have had some tea or ice coffee. Don't know, but soda? Well it was good. LOL) I asked him why they don't have tofu on the menu, he said he doesn't know a good place to get it. They just moved here from Hawaii. The best places out here in Vegas for tofu are the Asian markets..it's so cheap and they have a million brands. This place did have the "typical competitor diet food."

Typically, I haven't been eating egg whites as I am trying to cut out all animal protein. Currently, the only think I eat is the Whey protein powder and that's just because I have so much of it in my house! Most of my protein comes from beans, tofu, tempeh, and the protein powder. Recently, I got a meal plan from Samantha Shorkey-she wrote "Jacked on the Beanstock". It's a cookbook for Vegans that are athletes basically. She got first place in her IFBB Bikini competition, so I went to the best! I messaged her on Facebook, and bought a meal plan from her. She has been very helpful with my journey, and I wish I went to her sooner.

The main thing I am having trouble with is the diet. The diet is 80% of how you look...basically. So it's extremely important to follow the meal plan during competition. If I fall off, I jump right back on.

I just read a dessert from an IFBB pro. She said use sugar free hot coco, add peppermint extract (just a tiny drop) and a bit of whipped topping. It was sooooo good. I just drank one....now I want more. Just have to keep focused and telling myself, we can have whatever we want if we work really hard for it. So that's the ticket...everyday.

See you tomorrow:)
